John picked up the guitar at the age of 8 and hasn’t looked back! Musically rooted in classic rock, his aggressive guitar rhythms and melodic lead work helps define HITMAN HONEY’s ability to cover such a wide range of material! His vocal work is also a big part of HITMAN HONEY’s unique ability to deliver the three-part harmony performances that everyone remembers from their favorite 80s super bands. John’s last project kept him busy as manager, band leader and guitarist of The Amanda Waggener Band in SD. In 2011, his band placed second (out of 100 acts) in all of San Diego at Viejas Casino’s ‘Ultimate Music Challenge’, winning a $10K purse in this prestigious band competition! His goal at every HITMAN HONEY show is that the audience leaves at the end of the night saying “WOW! Best cover/tribute band I’ve seen.”
